Game columnist Mike Tresca enlists the help of the Fonz and Conan the Barbarian to discuss six lessons about gamification, both as a parent of kids and as an adult.  This session will explore the three basics of self-determination (competence, relatedness, autonomy) and how it can be applied to kids’ activities like the ChoreMonster App (Autonomy), the new Cub Scout badges (Relatedness), and belt tests in martial arts (Competence).

On the adult side we will look critically at changes to vacations (Autonomy), forced ranking (Relatedness), and thought leadership (Competence).
